John Berryman, born in 1914 - died in1972, was an American poet and scholar, born in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was a main figure in American poetry in the second half of the 20th century and was considered a key figure in the Confessional school of poetry. His best-known work is The Dream Songs.
John is hand crafted from wood, wire, clay, paint, fiber, and fabric- he stands a tiny 4 1/2 inches tall (11.4cm). He wears a pair of dark navy pants, brown knit turtleneck sweater, golden brown jacket, and holds a book in hand of his best known work. His hair is real fiber, face is hand painted, and he wears black rimmed glasses.
