Daniel Quilp is one of the main antagonists (bad guys) in the novel The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens, written in 1840. Quilp is a vicious, ill-tempered and grotesque character and is the villain of the story.
For the Dickens fan, Daniel is crafted from wood, wire, clay, paint, fiber, and fabric- he stands a tiny 4 1/2 inches tall (11.4 cm).
He wears high cut pants, houndstooth vest with white shirt, and long tailed black coat. His hair is real fiber and his face is painted by hand.
